Waiting

We completed our homestudy almost a year ago now and continue to wait.  We'll update our homestudy soon, and we have begun to think about fundraising for adoption expenses.  I (Crissi) have been on an induced lactation protocol since November so that I'll be able to nurse our baby when he/she comes home to us.  Our adoption agency is a nonprofit ministry and is small so we don't know for sure how long it will take for us to get a placement.  At this point, we feel fine about waiting, as we trust that this agency has pure motives and sincerely wants the best for adoptive families, babies, and birth mothers.  Sometimes I am anxious to get things moving along and other times I am relieved to have this time to get things done that would be more difficult with additional children.  Ultimately we know that God's timing is best and we truly want to be obedient to Him, to please Him, with both our hearts and our actions-whatever that ends up looking like.
